Over 30 towns and seven boroughs make up the 1,500 square miles known as Suffolk County. Bounded on north by Norfolk, on the east by the North Sea, on the south by Essex, and on the west by Cambridge, Suffolk County is famous for its stunning coastline and delightful countryside.

Visitors to Suffolk in search of the idyllic English village, rolling farmlands, river valleys, lofty churches, 12th and 13th century castles, beautiful gardens or unspoiled beaches will not be disappointed. Over the years, student musicians from local high schools have held exchanges with the Bury St. Edmunds County Upper School Swing Band, an award-winning performance group. Serving as citizen diplomats, as well as musical ambassadors, has had an enormous impact on young people on both sides of the ocean, resulting in many long-lasting friendships.
